There has been a marked upswing in new commercial property developments in the Cape Town area, with many new office and industrial developments completed, and many more that have already broken ground and should be ready to take on new tenants during the course of 2019. A host of new property development in the inner city are set to change the skyline in Cape Town, and offer big business a range of new locations to call home. How is this going to impact on the older A and B Grade buildings.

2019 / 2020 will see a number of new commercial buildings in the city. 35 Lower long is currently under construction and The Halyard is ready for leasing. Traffic into the city is already a problem, and these new developments are likely to add to the congestion issues in the city. With these new buildings offering up to 4 parking bays per 100 m² one can quite easily calculate how many additional cars can be expected to add to the traffic problems.
